Quality tuition 

Achieve Centres for Education NZ, or ACE for short (formerly Kip McGrath Glenfield) offers one-to-one online tuition.

Since 1998, our highly experienced teachers have successfully helped hundreds of Y1-Y13 Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland (and beyond) students achieve in the areas of Maths, English, Spelling, Writing, Reading and Science through high-quality personalised tuition to the NZ Curriculum.

What makes our service so effective?

Our teaching is personalised and very relational. We specialise in helping unwilling mathematicians, readers and writers decide that learning is well worth the effort.

We offer excellent academic support and coaching. We get very excited about a great times-table score, or a superb essay, or a new reading level reached.

We genuinely care about our students and their families; we know our students’ parents, grandparents, siblings, nannies, and aunties by name! Our online and in-person lesson spaces are happy places of belonging, welcome, success, and celebration of learning.

How it works:

We provide 40 minute, one to one, face-to face weekly online sessions after school and during the day. In these sessions your child or teen can have help with their online or written school work and/or access to our huge range of resources. The resources we select for them remain available at all times – not just during their lessons. If your child wishes to spend extra time working in their lesson space, they can, and we’ll look at their work in their next lesson.

We use a special online learning platform that lets us talk face to face, share screens, snapshot written work, and write directly onto learning tasks together with your child or teen. It’s focused, intensive, and it works!

For Years 1-9 we reassess after every 15 weeks (approx) and record the results in your child’s lesson space.

For Years 10-13, school results reflect our input and support.

Year 1-9 Maths: 

Maths strategy, problem solving, and fact knowledge (times tables, addition and subtraction.)

Year 1-9 Literacy:

Phonics, Spelling, Reading, Writing (in any combination to suit)

YES! You can choose to have a mixture of maths and literacy in the same lesson, or in alternate lessons. And yes, we do offer structured literacy teaching.
